Psyched on Big Wall Climbing? We spent April bringing you 4 brand-new classes to teach you big wall skills, as part of our Big Wall Series. It all ends with our Big Wall Rodeo at The Spot Louisville. We’ll celebrate your new big wall climbing skills and enjoy presentations from local legends, climbing-related games and challenges, gear demos and raffles, and drinks (21+) to finish the day.

FEATURE PRESENTATION: LYNN HILL

Starting at 5pm

Lynn became the first woman to climb 5.12d (1979), the first woman to climb 5.14 (1991), and the first climber (man or woman) to make a free ascent of The Nose on El Capitan (1993), as well as the first person to make a free ascent of The Nose in a day (just one year later in 1994). She has won more than 30 international competitions and is considered one of the most well-known rock climbers in the world.

Starting at 6pm

Paul Gagner has been actively climbing big walls for 43 years, since 1979. He’s climbed on over 100 walls around the world including walls in Baffin Island, Alaska, Patagonia, the Himalaya as well as Yosemite and the desert Southwest. With over 35 ascents of El Capitan, he’ll share tips and tricks on how to stay safe and efficient on a wall.
