How To Watch Climbing in the Paris 2024 Olympics

The Paris Olympic Games are finally here! Are you as stoked to watch as we are?

This time around, there will be a combined boulder/lead climbing competition and a separate speed climbing event. In Tokyo 2020, all three disciplines were combined. This year, not a single athlete qualified for both events.

Locals to Watch

Three Coloradans are competing for USA in boulder and lead: Brooke Raboutou, Colin Duffy, and Natalia Grossman (originally from California). Eight USA climbers in total are competing in Paris 2024—Four sport climbers and four speed climbers. Meet the team here.

Notably, Duffy took gold in Anchors Away, our community rope climbing comp at The Spot Louisville in the spring! See our recap of the event here.

Schedule

The climbing kicks off on Monday, Aug. 5 and run through Saturday, Aug. 10, with live watch times in Colorado arguably being among the worst in the world. Events start at approximately 2am & 5am MDT, with non-live recaps airing daily at more reasonable times.

Live events air on Peacock, NBC’s streaming platform, where you will likely need to start an $8 premium subscription to watch. Non-live recaps air on USA, NBC & E! throughout the week.
