Nonbinary, trans, gender-nonconforming, and women climbers—it’s your time to compete in your own space at the DEATH MOTH CLIMBING COMPETITION!

Death Moth is a bouldering competition designed to empower and support nonbinary, trans, gender-nonconforming, and women climbers. This is The Spot’s first time hosting an event of this nature, and our goal is to build a tradition that creates a safe and inclusive environment for marginalized climbers and setters. We’re dedicated to understanding and meeting the needs of these communities and are excited to grow and improve with each year.

The event will feature cash prizes, a spotlight-adorned finals round, exciting raffle prizes, as well as a stoked and supportive community. While people of all identities are welcome to spectate, competitor tickets are reserved for women, nonbinary, trans, gender-nonconforming athletes only. We are committed to creating a space free from hate, misogyny and transphobia.

We encourage everyone to participate and most of all, share their feedback. All input will be carefully processed by The Spot and by advocates from the the nonbinary, trans, and gender-nonconforming community to enhance future events and opportunities for these communities.
